Dede Wilsey-The secret behind the fundraising powerhouse!

Posted by on 29th November 2009

When asked about Dede Wilsey’s secret behind her success as the most powerful and well known fundraisers of philanthropic projects in the Bay Area she exclaimed that the reason was strong positive thinking. She said that every time she started a project she made it her life’s passion and loved the creating a building starting from the ground. Whenever she begins a philanthropic project she imagines a Monopoly board in her head of possible naming opportunities and donations with the Park Place and Pacific Avenue all in mind. However, the Park Place has been taken over by a hospital wing now. The CEO of UCFS Medical Center, Mark Laret, said the reason why they chose Dede Wilsey for their major project was because she always got the job done as promised and had a great sense of civic stewardship. He loved her fearless attitude when it came to handling large projects and completely loved it when she dismissed his idea when he wanted to complete the project in phases. Dede Wilsey told him to straight off forget about phases and to finish the project as soon as possible. This was the kind of attitude which had been very valuable to them and many organizations in San Francisco.

Sam Foti Provides a New Vision for Financial Education

Posted by on 24th November 2009

Sam Foti has been the former chairman of the Board of Trustees of The American College from 2001 to 2002.  For his outstanding services and significant contribution towards the growth and development of the College, he was awarded with the Huebner Gold Medal from the American College in 2002. This prestigious medal is awarded to those people who have supported the programmes of The American College and have helped the institution in moving forward in its journey towards attainment of its mission.

In September 2000, Samuel J. Foti played a remarkable role in combining the American College with LUTC Inc. The innovative move resulted in transforming the college into a premier educational institution that serves the financial services industry so efficiently. By initiating this plan, Samuel Foti helped create a single integrated source for everyday learning for all levels, starting from pre-contract training to complete graduate level education. The methods of imparting these educational services include self-study, classroom-based and Web-based learning options. He firmly believed that the new learning strategy, based on an amalgam of different methods would have salutary effects not only for the learners but also, for the end-users of these graduates in the long run.

Life saving budgeting tool

Posted by on 19th November 2009

Mom had been the one handling the Family Budget, and it was tough seeing her wrestle with our funds. She always apologized whenever she couldn’t afford to send us off to summer camp or on a trip because she always had to use the cash she stashed away for those for some other purpose.

Now that Mom is older I decided to help out, and in my search for a solution, I stumbled upon Mvelopes. After reviewing the different functions listed, I decided this would be worthwhile, however, before telling Mom about this, I decided to experiment with it a little.

I signed up for the trial version, and after reviewing my current financial status with the net worth tracking tool, I got my Personal Budget planned out. I couldn’t believe that I was able to commit fully to the envelope categories I had set up for myself, not to mention how easy it was to record what I spent through my cellular or a PC.

To end this story, Mom and I now have a 1 year plan each for $129.60 and the last time I called, Mom couldn’t be any happier.

Continue playing sports at college!

Posted by on 19th November 2009

I was a multiple high school athlete, and sports weren’t just recreation for me. I was one of the best players at Girls High School Basketball, Girls High School Soccer  and Girls High School Volleyball. I have always aspired to becoming a professional player one day. But that wouldn’t have been possible without the scholarship I got through Steel Athlete.

Since, I wanted this badly, I decided to go for the Elite Recruiter Kit. This allowed me to upload my detailed personal and academic profile, and 1 G of game film!!! I paid $ 49.99, which may seem high, but it was only for a month that i paid, and soon, a coach offered me an athletic scholarship. I got two offers, and I took up the one I liked better.  My money was hence put to good use.

I plan to take up sports professionally even today. But if it wasn’t for Steel Athlete, this dream would have died long before. Steel Athlete is doing a great favour to students like me, and to sports. To all those sports girls out there, if you think you have the talent, “be seen” with Steel Athlete!

Hear better, work better!

Posted by on 19th November 2009

Working in a multi-national firm comes with many privileges but also the pressures of ‘no-room’ for errors. I was having trouble understanding what my business partners were saying through conference call meetings and would often embarrass myself by giving inappropriate responses. I knew I was starting to have a moderate hearing loss and was worried how my colleagues would react if they found out. When you’re 35 and working your way up quickly on the career ladder, you don’t want such things getting in the way.

Hearing about HearAid’s Hearing Aides was the best thing that happened to me; not only did I get this state of the art Hearing Aid in an affordable price but also with money back guarantee. My work meetings are much more productive because of this Hearing Aid; I can understand clearly, even when there is noise in the room.

This Hearing Aid has a compact design and fits behind my ear, unnoticeable to my colleagues. It comes built in with features like advanced noise filtering technology which basically means that with these Hearing Aids, you hear all the relevant things –blocking out unnecessary noise and giving your brain a rest from constantly striving to swift through the noise to hear clearly!

Now I can access every pc on my network securely remotely, run applications, upload and download files and even telecommute.
Try it for Free for yourself.
