Sam Foti has been the former chairman of the Board of Trustees of The American College from 2001 to 2002.  For his outstanding services and significant contribution towards the growth and development of the College, he was awarded with the Huebner Gold Medal from the American College in 2002. This prestigious medal is awarded to those people who have supported the programmes of The American College and have helped the institution in moving forward in its journey towards attainment of its mission.

In September 2000, Samuel J. Foti played a remarkable role in combining the American College with LUTC Inc. The innovative move resulted in transforming the college into a premier educational institution that serves the financial services industry so efficiently. By initiating this plan, Samuel Foti helped create a single integrated source for everyday learning for all levels, starting from pre-contract training to complete graduate level education. The methods of imparting these educational services include self-study, classroom-based and Web-based learning options. He firmly believed that the new learning strategy, based on an amalgam of different methods would have salutary effects not only for the learners but also, for the end-users of these graduates in the long run.

Shoplifting and other kinds of incidents like these have really upset the owners of these edifices as their products were stolen and as a result their profits were being decreased as well. To remove this, barcode system has been installed in the malls, whenever any inventory comes into the mall’s warehouses, Barcode stickers are put on all the packages. This process is simple, where all the items are placed on a conveyor

and one by one stickers are placed on the packages & placed on the shelves. Whenever somebody gets something from the mall or the superstore, he goes to the counter and the person on the counter, puts the side of the package where sticker is placed in front of the scanner, then he pays the price, and he is cleared to take whatever he has purchased. If somebody try to steal something, he has to go through a scanner placed on every exit. Item not being cleared by the counter will automatically be detected by the scanner & it will start to buzz, let knowing the security that something is being stolen by the person trying to exit. This system is highly appreciated by the people, as it reduces the risk of shoplifting.
